Pugliese. Pausing and musical tension. The idea is to work on balance in order to gain more control of the body and consequently more musicality in the dance, since music and balance are two interrelated concepts in Tango. The challenge will be in using the pause and musical tension, with variations of speed – acceleration and slowing down. Dance floor sequences will be studied so as to work on balance on one leg and playing with the free leg so as to reflect in the dance the musical tension that is typical in Pugliese’s compositions.
